Is SCCS fully accredited?

SCCS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and directly affiliated with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

How many admissions spaces are available each year?

Spaces available depend upon the grade level and the particular year. Due to our extremely high retention rate, spaces in many classes are limited.

How are admissions decisions made?

Admissions decisions are based upon many different factors; the most important being whether or not SCCS can provide an exceptional educational experience for the student, and that in turn, the student will be a motivated asset to SCCS. Admissions decisions are also based on a formal interview, shadow days in a classroom, records review, and standardized assessment review.

How far in advance do I need to apply?

Because space is limited, we encourage all prospective families to start the registration process as soon as it opens.

Do students wear uniforms?

At SCCS we wear uniforms to encourage learning and unity.  We believe that when students wear uniforms they are less distracted and more focused on learning.  We want to encourage individuality in learning and personality rather than physical appearance.

Do you have before and after school care?

SCCS offers several different options for both before and after school care.

For an up-to-date list of before and after care options for your child, please contact the school office and request information.

Does SCCS offer specialized services for those students who learn differently or are gifted?

We are determined to support each and every student as they strive to unlock their full potential academically and socially. Our teachers are highly trained in differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all learners. We fully recognize that many times the learning process can be hampered by factors such as individual learning styles, attention challenges, academic skill gaps, or a lack of motivation due to readiness for advanced work.  Using a school-wide, systematic approach to intervention and enrichment, we are able to ensure that all students with diverse needs and abilities learn at high levels.

Does SCCS offer opportunities for parents and families to connect and receive support?

SCCS is committed to providing unique opportunities for parents and families to live in community with one another.  SCCS welcomes you to join: Moms in Prayer, Dads in Prayer, Parent Bible Study, Parents Night Out, PTF, and Coffee with the Principals. SCCS also offers many family events such as Mother-Son Bowling, Mother-Daughter Tea, Father-Son Laser Tag, Father-Daughter Dance, All-School Events/Parties, and so much more!

What are some opportunities to get involved?

At SCCS we believe that every parent’s gifts, offerings, talents, time, and prayer are crucial to the success of our students. Part of our accomplishments as a school are attributed to the involvement of our families participating in PTF, volunteering in school, planning fundraisers, playing with the children at recess, supporting the teachers, and so much more!
